Nicola finishes the London Marathon...   My slowest marathon ever but at least I've finished!  I crossed the line in 4:08:18, gutted that I didn't make sub-4 hours but it was so congested that everybody was struggling to get any stride pattern going. I knew at 24 miles that I'd need to do sub 7-minute miles to get there so I just enjoyed the final run in and even pulled some shapes to the music.  It was really, really hot (68 to 72 degrees apparently) but there was tons of water available and the crowd were as amazing as ever. I was the 9th best Goodwin yesterday and the 22nd best Nicola (well done to Nikki Bradford who was the 8th best Nicola in 3:31:39!).  I was the 12415th runner to cross the line but the 2350th woman which is proof that the men push the girls out of the way. I almost fainted in Horseguards Parade but the sight of the St John Ambulance tent forced me to shuffle past, get myself together and collapse against a fence until I found my chocolate milk. Thanks to everybody who sponsored me - I'd like to say never again but there's something happening on July 5th!   BACK
