Congratulations!!!   Congratulations to all of the club members who've helped us to achieve the best ever results in the Winter Cross Country league.  The girl’s team got on the podium for the first time with a final placing of third place, Sharon Edelstyn won the women’s 35 to 40 category and Jo Crissal came second, in the women’s 40 plus category Alison Fryer-Jones came third.  Medals all round, well done ladies! The men’s team finished in 8th place overall which is really impressive against people that only run (no offence meant!), Andy Taylor was in 8th overall on 35 points, just one point ahead of Jon Tetley in 9th.  In the men’s 40 plus category Ian Rivers finished in 7th place. The last race took place at Presteigne through the woods and finished off with tea and cakes in the school hall.  Both the men’s and women’s teams finished in 4th place on the day despite the biting winds. Sharon was the first Tri Club lady home in 32.10 followed by Jo, Alison and Emma Davies.  In the men’s race, Jon was the first club member home in 13th place in 50.02 with Andy (having fallen on to his broken wrist – ow!) in 28th and Ian in 29th.  It seems Ian may have had to use his medical skills in a race yet again!
