It's Not Everyday That You Get Coached by a Former World Champion!   12 lucky members of Herefor Triathlon Club enjoyed an hours coaching from the first ever British world swimming champion Karen Pickering MBE.  Karen, who works as a swimming ambassador for Zoggs, gave the swimmers some great tips and lots of help with their strokes.  Although she didn't get in the water due to her cold, she gave the club members some really simple tips and drills which made an immediate difference to their swimming.   Karen Pickering MBE and the lucky 12   Karen was in the British squad from 1986 to 2005 and won 8 world championship medals, 14 European championship medals, 13 medals at the Commonwealth Games and 38 British titles - WOW!  She was also awarded an MBE in 1994.   If you missed the session don’t worry, during the next few months we'll be using her tips during the club swimming sessions on Friday nights at Leominster Pool!   For more information on Karen Pickering MBE check out her website www.karenpickering.co.uk.   BACK
